Your password is your right. It is that part of you that is not for public consumption – nobody have the right to it except you. Make sure you use strong a password to protect your account. Let it be something you can remember and if you are very good at forgetting things, then write it in a very small jotter and keep it locked away in your safe at home. Avoid clicking links especially suspicious ones, it could be used by hackers to steal your password. Do not rush to open Social Media apps. Do not respond to emails that ask you to change your password or ask you to upgrade your account. Ensure you verify the email address that was use to send the mail, if it is the original social media email.
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU ACCEPT AS FRIENDS
It is a very common thing to have hundreds of thousands of followers or friends on social media as a means reaching a wide audience. However, you should be careful who you accept. Most of them might be hackers that might ask you trick questions or send virus files to you that could lead to getting your password.
DO NOT SHARE EVERYTHING OR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Some people are in the habit of sharing everything on social media. Some share everything from walking, travelling, sleeping, taking a dump, where they live etc so that all may know what and where they are at every point in time. It is wrong.

The account you linked your social media account to is a very important email account. It is your key to your social media account if you forget your password or want to reset it. Most of us have our gadgets as our life office because all our information are there. Our social media accounts and emails accounts are permanently logged in on them also. That makes all those our personal gadget very valuable, so we need to put in our BEST protect them from being stolen.
