Over charge is even harmful to your battery. Now if you are one of those guys connecting your phone permanently to your power bank, you might want to unplug it now to prolong its life. Have you had it with charging your phone every time? Let me show you a few tricks of how you can make you battery last longer.
CHARGE TO FULL LEVEL
It is important that you charge your phone fully for it to last longer. Let the indicator on the phone show battery full or else it disappoint you on the way.
CHANGE YOUR PHONE MODE
Your phone came with power saving mode that help manage your battery life, check your phone settings to discover this and adopt it. Many iPhones and Androids came with various modes that shut down some energy draining features (like internet connectivity, GPS, apps etc) and leaves the phone to consume below 50% of its normal battery consumption. Apple’ iOS doesn’t have a battery saving mode but you can set it yourself based on our tips on this article.
CHANGE FROM VIBRATION MODE
When your phone vibrate to alert you of notifications or incoming calls it uses a good dose of your phone battery life to do that. There is a motor inside your phone vibrates your phone and this makes use of your battery power! Do your phone some good by not using it. You have the option of using your phone on silent and keeping it in view when in a noiseless environment or on ringtone mode when outdoors rather than vibrate and ring.
REDUCE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS
The screen display of your phone do more sucking of your battery than other features. Screen brightness takes most of your battery power in a shocking way. So you might want to keep the intensity of the light on your phone screen down to save your battery.
TURN DOWN BACKLIGHT
the backlight of your phone consume some amount of battery power too, so turn it down how long the backlight displays in your phone setting menu.
The longer your screen stay lighted up the longer your battery power is sucked away so reduce the time out. Go to display under settings and set the screen timeout to the least seconds or average.
TURN OFF UNNECESSARY CONNECTIONS
Turn off unnecessary connections and apps. Connections and apps consume substantial amount of battery power. By leaving them on, they increase the usage of your internal memory or CPU which in turn suck out the life from your battery. So do your phone a favour shut down all unnecessary and background apps.
DO NOT OVER LABOUR YOUR PHONE
Listening to music, watching videos, excessive browsing, texting long hours, chatting, making long calls, recording videos and sounds, flash photography, torch lighting and so on are power draining. These activities take a large chunk of energy from your battery, so reduce your excessive usage of your phone.
TURN OFF LOCATION SERVICES
Turn off apps that uses GPS or Wi-Fi to display your location real time these are part of the culprits that steal away your battery life.
USE GSM INSTEAD OF 3G/4G
You have the option of using your phone on 3G or GSM. For longer battery life set to GSM rather than 3G or Dual Mode. This option is located under connectivity in the setting menu.
TURN OFF NOTIFICATION
Turn off all notification that does not relate with new text message or missed calls. Notifications that use internet connectivity such as news, social media update notifications etc should be turned off if you want to conserve your battery life.

USE STILL WALLPAPER RATHER THAT FLASH IMAGE
It is preferable to use still picture as wallpaper or screen saver instead of dynamic moving picture or flash video.
